The early bugle rifle elk hunting season starts September 15th Montana area 316 and through October. This is an excellent time for trophy elk hunting from the huge Northern Yellowstone Elk Herd, the greatest in the world.

These elk use the Slough Creek area as a corridor leading from the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness into Yellowstone National Park and back into Montana. Our camp maximizes on this natural "migratory" route. One of the important things is knowing that you will be staying in a first class camp, with great food! Be sure and check it out.

This area is blessed with some of most pristine, unaltered, wilderness area in the northwest. The Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness is a huge Federally protected area encompassing approximately 2.5 million acres. This is prime big game country including Black bears, Grizzly bears, Mountain lion, Goats and Sheep. Just being here is part of the once-in-a-lifetime experience that will form a lasting memory with you and your accompaniment.
